The Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Shuaibu Yaman has decided to sink with a wrecked ship at the bottom of the sea.
For 16 years, it’s captain took caution to the winds and ran the ship aground. Its remains is left for archeologists to salvage for the Museum.
We urge Kwarans to stay clear of these failed men in the PDP as we approach the General elections.
This advice has become necessary in view of the mischief and outright lies by these men of yesterday who want to return the treasury of the state to their pockets.
We note the thoughtless statement of Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman , the PDP’s wannabe, that the state debt has increased by 300 percent following the bond taken by the present administration to finance critical infrastructure and projects that would create jobs for the teeming youths and improve the lives of the people.
As we already presented to the public, at no time was Kwara the least indebted. When this administration came to power in 2019 Kwara had the 10th highest debt profile in Nigeria;
This Position improved by March 2022 and it is now the 19th most indebted state according to the Debt Management Office This is contrary to Mr Yaman’s fallacy that the debt profile of Kwara has jumped to 300% between 2019 and now. The first and only time the state’s debt profile was that high, was in 2009 when a former Governor of the state and the PDP leader, Bukola Saraki took the N17bn bond, among other facilities he had earlier accessed. This took the debt profile to above 300%, considering the fact that he had inherited a below N5bn domestic debt from the Governor Mohammed Lawal’s administration.
We advice Mr Yaman, the PDP flagbearer to get his facts right before making public Statements rather than outright lies about the state of the economy of the State.
We assure Kwarans that the State remains safe in the hands of our exemplary Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who works round the clock to redeem the lost glory of Kwara . Kwarans will no longer be deceived by bare faced lies peddled by chronic debtors who have the temerity talk about debts.
We welcome all those who have long suffered the deception of the opposition, to join hands with the Governor to rebuild the state and permanently salvage it from plunderers who do not mean well for Kwara.
For Governor AbdulRahman, It is Kwara First.
