Philanthropist Donates Building to NSCDC in Kwara, As Commandant Tasks Nigerians on Security

A philanthropist, Dr Olatayo Abikoye, today, Friday donated a building to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Edidi town in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Receiving the building on behalf of the Agency, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who was on working visit to Kwara State, lauded the donor of the office for the great achievement and for deeming it fit to provide security for his people and the entire Kwara State.

“Today, I specially want to appreciate the philanthropist who donated the office and I want to promise you all that we will make good use of the office though, I will seize the opportunity to reiterate the fact that government and the security agencies are always ready to partner with any well meaning individuals and corporate organizations who want to assist in combating security challenges that we are facing in the country.” The NSCDC CG said.

CG further appealed to other well meaning individuals to assist security agencies in the provision of necessary equipment and logistics, saying in the face of growing security challenges in the country, we appeal to well meaning individuals and Nigerians at large not to left security matters in the hands of the security personnel alone.

In his own remarks the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Interior Dr. Shuaib M. Belgore also appreciated the good people of Edidi community most especially the amiable donor of the NSCDC office Dr. Tayo Abikoye charging other well meaning individuals in the State to emulate the giant stride.

Among other people that graced the occasion was the NSCDC Commandant in Kwara State Iskilu Ayinla Makinde, the donor Dr Tayo Abikoye, Isin LG TIC chairman Hon. Tunde Fadipe, Eledidi of Edidi land Oba Gabriel Kolawole Aboyeji, representatives of sister security agencies, community leaders among others.
