A members of the Federal House of Representatives, from Imo State, Hon. Emeka Chinedu, has withdrew the bill he sponsor to jail protesters for five years.
Chinedu announced the withdrawal of the bill in a letter read by the Speaker of the House, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, at plenary on Tuesday, 13th of July, 2021.
It will be recalled that outrage had trailed the bill since it was first read on the floor of the House on July 6.
