The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Kwara State chapter has taken a swipe on Gov. AbdulRazaq AbdulRazaq for wasting the resources of Kwara for the Town Hall meeting embarked on by governor.
The opposition party expressed this in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Prince ‘Tunji Moronfoye, and made available to The Accurate News said the All Progressives Congress (APC) regime led by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, waste their scarce resources on frivolous, political jamborees.
The statement read in part “The series of wasteful and ill-advised “Town hall meetings” being carried on by the mediocre Kwara APC regime in some selected towns in Kwara state is nothing but collective, back-slapping, political events.
“We are quickly reminded of the “Breaking the glass ceiling” political jamboree, where the synthetic astro turf at the Kwara state sports stadium field was severely and irreparably damaged.
“These unfortunate events are loaded with tactically impoverished citizens, who are only there to collect the meagre amounts that would be made available to them after the arranged ‘Town Hall meetings’.
“Consequently, it is guaranteed that no one dares to say the unpleasant facts of the APC regime’s failure, as they should.
“The questions to be asked by the attendees at these repugnant events, are carefully and surreptitiously orchestrated, so are the pre-arranged answers to be tendered by the government agents. Attendance at these events are like watching a carefully choreographed dance drama, at an opera house”
We could recall that Governor AbdulRazaq recently held a town hall meeting with some stakeholders and members of APC in Offa and Oro towns of Kwara South senatorial district where he gave an account of his stewardship and sought their support for his re-election bid.
