“The maiden Kwara South Summit has been scheduled to be held at the ODU Secretariat in Offa on the 27th day of June this year with the theme ‘Kwara South Unity and Progress’.
The chairman of the group added that the steering committee has traversed all corners of the Kwara South district to solicit and canvass the interest of notable personalities and minds.
“To make the proposed event a success and not just another talk show, members of our steering committee have traversed all corners of Kwara South district to solicit and canvass the interest of notable personalities and likeminded individuals. We have even gone beyond the borders of our dear Kwara State to secure the buy-ins of prominent personalities with the sole aim of getting them to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with us.”.
The chairman, while responding to questions from journalists, noted that it is more important now than before for the senatorial district to speak in unison to fight for and attract meaningful developmental projects to the zone and its people.
Also speaking, Chief Iyiola Akogun attests to the uniqueness of the group and the quality of personalities involved, saying their priority is the development of all the seven local government areas in the zone.
Also speaking on behalf of women, Mrs. Kolade Mary Omowumi appealed to sons and daughters of Kwara South to attend the proposed ‘Unity Summit’ and said it would be the beginning of great things to happen to the zone.
