Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter has joined the well wishers, at home and abroad in celebrating Veteran Sports Journalist, Mallam Bayour Isah, on his 58th birthday.
Kwara SWAN, in a congratulatory message by the Chairman, Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, in Ilorin, felicitated with family and friends on the auspicious occasion.
According to Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, the occasion calls for thanksgiving for Allah’s care, guidance and protection.
Kwara SWAN affirmed the influence of Mallam Bayour Isah in the sporting industry, setting a standard of professionalism, has attracted him global recognition and awards.
Mallam Ayodeji Ismail noted Isah’s ingenious ability to report sporting events, generate contents for the audience as well as travelling round the globe has made him a household name all over the country and beyond.
Kwara SWAN also believed his natural tendency to counsel, inspire and instruct sports journalists easily earned him the role of a Legend while appreciating his foresight in winning many into the profession and guiding them to stardom.
He prayed that the Almighty God would grant him better health, longer life and steadfastness in service to the arts, God, and humanity.
SWAN commended the general public for their contributions towards the birthday of Mallam Bayour Isah and Super Eagles Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi for gifting the legend a brand new car.
Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest of England player Taiwo Awoniyi had on Thursday donated a car to Mr Sports.
