All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Congress Appeal Committee on Friday 17th of September engaged party stakeholders in Kwara State and promised to be fair to all in the course of discharging their duties.
The chairman of the Appeal Committee, Taminu Adabson who spoke on behalf of other members, expressed this while meeting with the stakeholders in Ilorin, Kwara state capital to intimate them on process and procedures to follow in presenting their grievances.
Taminu added that the committee would not shut out any member of the party that has genuine grievances.
“We are here to listen to your petitions and grudges, if any, with a view to building a united APC”
We are not going to shut out anybody. We will provide adequate opportunity for fair hearing. Having come to Kwara, we want all that have petitions to submit to us directly at the party secretariat, located along Commissioners lodge, GRA, within 24 hours.
“We are going to open our secretariat in the party office, but that is not to say that we are begging those who do not have petitions to write any. We are not unmindful of our enemies, those who want to instigate others against us”
“Other parties who feel they have not been able to put their strings with us may send some other people to instigate trouble and cause confusion. That is not what we want”
“We believe that Kwarans are peaceful people. We want to put it on record that when we went to Kwara everything was peaceful”
Earlier, the Chairman of the party in the state, Abdullahi Samari urged members of the party to relate as brothers and sister for the unity of the party.
“There is no perfection in any human endeavour, but as members of the same family where there are errors and they are genuinely pointed out we should accept them with a view of correcting same. Let us see ourselves as members of the same family by resolving our differences amicably,” Samari said.
