APC Describes Purported Defection of Members in Lafiagi as Cheap Propaganda

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara state has described as a cheap propaganda to save face the purported defection of its members to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Assistant Public Relation Officer of the party’s in Edu Local Government Area, Abubakar Ibrahim, stated this in his reaction to the defection.

The APC official noted that the ruling party had been waxing stronger, and that PDP feigned the console its members from the rude shock that greeted the recent loss of members to the APC.

“Recently we received known organized PDP Groups in Lafiagi District led by Former Chairman of Edu Local Government Alhaji Nma Husseini fondly called Liberia”

“It was a rude shock for the PDP. So, they needed to stage cheap defection as a propaganda to save face”

“The defectors from PDP to APC are led by known PDP leaders, not one random “ghost Hajiya”,” said the APC leader said.

Ibrahim, noted that the APC was not interested in defection propaganda as the achievements of the state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq keeps attracting more people to the party.

“They have lost many followers to our great party. These followers were led by key PDP stalwarts to APC across the Local Government including Former House of representative member Engr. Yunusa Yahaya, immediate past Local Government Chairman Alhaji Umaru Bele and a former Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji. Umaru Patiokun,” he said.
