Friends and associates of the newly appointed Special Advisers in Kwara State on Friday held a special prayer for
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The prayer was held at the Central Mosque of the Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Pakata, Ilorin immediately after the juma’at service.
The Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Sabur Alaaya who led the prayer bessecheed God to grant Governor AbdulRazaq more greater attainments, peaceful and successful reign.
Sheikh Alaaya acknowledged the governor’s giant strides in all sectors of the state’s economy, especially prompt payment of workers salaries and infrastructure development.
He also offered special prayers for the new seven special advisers- Alh Saadu Salahu ( Strategy), Mr Bashir Adigun(Political Communications), Brigadier General Saliu Tunde Bello ( Security), Professor Adekunle Dunmade (Health), Ahmed Yinka Aluko (Special Duties), Attahiru Ibrahim (Sports and Youths) and Abdullateef Alakawa( Political).
The special prayerer had in attendance the newly appointed special advisers to the governor, Chairman, National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), Kwara State chapter, Alh. Tunde Akannbi, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Kwara State Council, Mall. Umar Abdulwahab, Regional Editor, (North Central), Leadership newspapers, Alh. Abdullahi Olesin and a university don, Dr Ghali Alaaya .
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, General Tunde Bello thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for finding them worthy of appointment as Special Advisers.
He assured the people of the state that they will at all times offer quality advice to the governor on all state matters.
Bello, on behalf of his colleagues also pledged to construct toilet facilities for the GDSS Pataka’s mosque.
