Hon. Alajagusi Facilitates Seminar for Kwara Youths on Industrial, Political Peaceful Coexistence

In a bid to ensure kwara youths embrace peaceful coexistence environment, a member of the Federal House of Representative, representing Ilorin West / Asa constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. AbdulYekeen Sadiq Alajagusi has facilitated peaceful coexistence seminar for selected youths in his constituency.

The two days seminar programme was handled by the Industrial Arbitration Panel under Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity with not less than 120 youths drawn from Ilorin West and Asa local government areas of the state as beneficiaries.

Speaking at the Seminar, a representative from the Industrial Arbitration Panel Engr. Ahmed Kazeem, said the purpose of the programme was to foster industrial and political peace among youths, adding that at the end of the training participants would appreciate more the importance of peaceful society to the general development.

According to him “This programme which was facilitated by the Hon. AbdulYekeen Sadiq Alajagusi, representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency was to inculcate spirit of tolerance amongst the youths and let them know how much it can help a government to transform the society for better and create abundance opportunities for youths and general people”

One of the resource persons, Dr. Nurudeen of Department of Conflict Resolution, Al-Hikma University Ilorin who talked on “cause and implications of conflict” explained that one of the best legacy older generation in the country can live behind for the youths is by inculcating into them understanding of the resultant effect of peaceful environment and how significant it is to the general development of any society”

Other tutors at the seminar were Bar. Paul Ajiroba, Engr. Iyiola Oni, Kayode Ahmed and R. A Bello.

Hon. Alajagusi had earlier said that he was motivated by the need to inculcate virtue of peaceful coexistence and spirit of patriotism in the minds of youths who he described as leaders of tomorrow.

He, however urged the participants to ensure that the knowledge acquired through the seminar reflect in their conduct when they get back to their various communities and tasked them to be a peace ambassador in the state.

Beneficiaries were given seminar materials and certificate.
