National Directorate of Employment was on Tuesday disbursed Micro Enterprises Enhancement Loans Scheme to over 200 women in Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency of kwara state.
Speaking at the disbursement venue the Director General of NDE, Dr. Nasiru Muhammed Ladan charged the beneficiaries to make expedient use of the money said it is part of the many Federal Government Schemes to tackle poverty among the people of the grassroots
The free interest loan was facilitated by a member of the Federal House of Representative, representing the people of Ilorin East/South constituency, Hon. AbdulGaniyu Saka Cook Olododo, who is also a Chairman House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development
According to NDE Director General who was represented at the event by the Kwara state coordinator of the NDE, Mr. Gabriel Adeyemo said ”the government is poised to always be in the forefront of adding values to the society without any hindrance through avoidable soft loans that can change their lives for better”.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olododo said, his determination to reduce poverty and creating wealth in the constituency necessitated the facilitation of the free interest loan scheme.
Said “apart from legislating laws for the good people of the nation, it is the responsibility of every lawmakers to see to the needs of their constituents and this has prompted my desire to faciliate the interest free loan to my people” he said
