Access to Medical Care: Ambulances donated in memory of late Kwara Governor

    Two Ambulances has been donated to serve the general public of Kwara communities in memorial of the late former Governor of Kwara State, Mohammed Lawal.

    The Mercedes Benz product of the Ambulances was donated by the Son of the late former Governor, Hakeem Lawal during the Eight years memorial prayer for the late political icon in Ilorin, kwara state.

    Hakeem Lawal, who was also a governorship aspirant in the state on the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC, in 2019 said “ During our outreach we realized that it is not just modern medical supplies and equipment the people of Kwara need, they also need an improved ambulance service for emergency cases, hence, the need for the procurement of the ambulances that will aid such outreach”

    “we have collaborated with some volunteers to carry out various medical outreach to the people in their localties within the Ilorin metropolis, but the need for such outreach is everywhere in the state”

    Added that “All efforts must be concentrated on providing good healthcare deliverables to our people, we know that government alone can not do it, it is in this spirit that I procured two Mercedes Benz ambulances for onward donation to Awliya Foundation, a foundation founded in memory of my father, Mohammed Alabi Lawal”

    He, however, call on all the wealthy individuals to support the state government in providing affordable healthcare system for the people of the state.
