ODU Gives Gov AA Kudos for Appointing Adeyipo as Chairman Radio Kwara Board

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been commended for appointing Mr. Kayode Adeyipo as the chairman of the 7-member board of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kwara.

The commendation was given by Oro Descendants Union (ODU), Oro Kingdom in a statement signed by its National President, Alhaji Uthman Balogun and National Secretary, Alhaji Ismaila Okeleye.

The body assured that the appointee will be good ambassador of his people by not betraying the confidence reposed in him.

ODU, the apex sociocultural organisation in Oro Kingdom, prayed God to be with Adeyipo in the discharge of his duties as chairman of the board, noting that the period is most challenges because broadcasting in the digital world requires a lot.

The union noted that though Adeyipo has experience in broadcasting, retiring as Director, News and Current Affairs of the broadcasting house and a former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), he needs to go the extra mile, creatively, to strategically position the media house as market leader.

It would be recalled that Mr. Kayode Adeyipo was recently named the Chairman of the Board of Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation along with other six members viz: Muhammad Buhari Jimoh; Hajia Aisha Muhammad; Dr (Mrs) Amina S. Ahmed; Hon. Mary Ebun Oyeleye; Hajia Bolajoko Jumoke Bello; and Engineer Dele Aje.

Radio Kwara is state-owned, the oldest and biggest broadcasting house in the North Central region Kwara State has both AM and FM stations at different locations with recent addition of two Licenses for new FM stations.
