Oodua Forum seeks Nigerians’ prayers for president-elect, chides Bode George, Adebanjo

A pan-Yoruba group, Oodua Council Forum (OCF) has asked Nigerians to pray for the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said his tenure will be of immense benefit to all.

This was raised by the coordinators of the Forum, Baba Oodua Otunba Samson Somoye and Professor John Abiona said “We are urging all Nigerians to pray for the success of the May 29th swearing ceremony of the Presidenr-elect.”

OCF leaders revealed that the forum was registered by the Federal Government in the year 2019, adding that the group currently exists in 10 states of the federation.

Speaking with our correspondent Professor Abiona said that OCF members are part and parcel of Afenifere, hinting that “we all threw out weight behind Tinubu all through his campaign and eventual emergence as the president-elect.

Asiwaju Tinubu himself can attest to OCF’s support for him.

“Chief Olabode George and Pa Ayo Adebanjo’s stand on Tinubu is unfortunate. OCF is in sync with Afenifere but Pa Adebanjo is on his own.

“He has not been speaking for Afenifere. I am a member of Afenifere. Baba Fasoranti remains the authentic leader of Afenifere.”
