Police Confirm Arrest of 6 Suspected Kidnappers, Rescue Abducted KWASU Student

The Nigerian Police Force, Kwara State Command has confirmed the arrested of six people suspected to kidnapped 300 level student of the Kwara State University, Malete.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state command of the Police, SP Okasanmi Ajayi (anipr) in a statement made available to Journalists.

Reads;

“The Commissioner of Police Kwara State Police Command, CP Tuesday Assayomo psc+, is happy to inform the general public of the successful search and rescue operation conducted in liberating the abducted 300L Mass Communication female student of Kwara State University by name Isiaq Kadijat”

“The people may recall that on 23/8/2021, at about 930pm, a 300L female student of Kwara State University, Malete was kidnapped in one of the off campuses hostels of the institution”

“The command wishes to acknowledge the support of the Inspector General of police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba mni NPM, the local hunters, vigilante and the school authority”

“The commissioner of police further reiterates his avowed commitment to making Kwara State uninhabitable and hot for criminals and would-be trouble makers”

“Six suspects involved in the act have been arrested, different categories of weapons used in the kidnap were also recovered”
