Police Nab Notorious ‘One-Chance’ Robbers in Ilorin

The Kwara State Police Command has nabbed three gang of notorious criminals terrorizing the people of Ilorin with their Commercial Taxi, using for ‘one-chance’ robbery syndicate.

The three criminals were identified as Adebayo Akeem 40years, Akintola Abdulahi 38years and Muyiwa Obaseki 33years.

In a statement released by the Police Spokeperson in the state, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said “at about 3:40pm today Wednesday, information was received about the presence of a commercial taxi cab with three occupants suspected to be robbers with a lady around Kwara Hotel in Ilorin. The Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo psc+ immideately dispatched a team of policemen to the scene”

“The three suspects, confessed to came to Ilorin from Ibadan Oyo State to perpetrate their criminal activities, were arrested with their victim by name Omoedemi Ayoleyi ‘f’ who stated that she had earlier been swindled of the sum of #38,000:00 and a gold hear ring valued #50,000:00”

“The suspects were arrested, their operational vehicle, a MAZDA 323 Kwara State Taxi colour saloon car with Reg. number LRN 204 YK was impounded for the crime”

Another victim of the gang ‘f’ had also identified the three men as the same people that swindled her of over N180,000 and her gold jewelry two weeks ago, along Fate to Diamond/Access bank road in Ilorin.

Okasanmi, however said Investigation into the matter has commenced in accordance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo.

Consequently, “the Commissioner of Police wishes to advise members of the public to be super-conscious of their environment, the vehicles they board while traveling and who they share their personal vital informations with”
