Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, the Madawaki of Ilorin, and Waziri’n Hausa extends his heartfelt felicitations to the revered elder statesman, Alhaji Isiaka Ayinde Jimoh, on the auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday.
Alhaji I. A Jimoh is an accomplished banker who worked for several years with the United Bank For Africa (UBA), and took a “sabbatical” from his top management position at the bank to serve as Commissioner for Finance in Kwara State under the then military Governor Captain (Rtd) Salaudeen Olatinwo in 1984.
As we gather today to celebrate the life and times of this iconic figure, we are reminded of his unwavering commitment to the socio-economic and political development of Kwara State, and indeed, the entire country. Alhaji I. A Jimoh is a shining example of a true statesman, whose selfless service to humanity and the promotion of the common good has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals in Kwara State.
Through his exemplary leadership, astute vision, and unwavering dedication to excellence, Alhaji I. A Jimoh has carved a niche for himself as a trailblazer, mentor, and role model to many. He has consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of integrity, humility, and compassion, which have earned him the respect and admiration of all who have had the privilege of interacting with him.
As Alhaji Jimoh marks this significant milestone, we join in celebrating his remarkable achievements, both as an individual and as a community leader. His contributions to the development of Kwara State in the areas of education, healthcare, and rural development, among others, are immeasurable and have impacted positively on the lives of many.
